NUCLEAR (1,152MW)

During the construction of this Pressurized Water Reactor, a large number of Significant Construction Deficiencies (SCDs) occurred.  The Nuclear Regulatory Commission was dissatisfied with the progress made in identifying and resolving these SCDs.  Cost and schedule management services for expediting the SCD resolution were provided.  The new procedures resulted in a controlled risk management program for resolving existing and future SCDs.

PUMPED STORAGE HYDROELECTRIC (760Mw)

Working for the Owner, a review of the operational and management provisions of all proposed contracts for a new hydroelectric power plant was performed.  Contract provisions for engineering, construction, and major equipment suppliers were evaluated and significant modifications were recommended and made.  These modifications included improvements in cost and schedule management, change management, project coordination and dispute resolution.

COMBINED-CYCLE (224MW)

This complex retrofit project integrated two gray-market HRSGs and one gray-market STG with the existing plant.  The EPC Contractor had engineering, productivity, and quality problems, and filed an arbitration demand to resolve outstanding Proposed Change Orders (PCOs).  The Owner counterclaimed for costs to correct defective work.  An Expert Report was prepared analyzing entitlement, schedule delays and damages.  Expert Testimony was provided at the Arbitration.
