REFINERY (460,000 bpd)

The Owner of a refinery had contracts for product sales between its plant and a plant that had been purchased from the Owner. The Owner performed major repairs to its plant after a severe hurricane. The buyer alleged that the protracted re-start was the owners responsibility and filled suit against the Owner.  Working for the Owner, an Expert Report was issued and Expert deposition testimony provided. The matter settled before Arbitration.

REFINERY (290,000 bpd)

Working for the Engineer, an analysis of the impact of active interference and changes by the Owner in the Process design (P&IDs), procurement of equipment, and design of electrical and I&C systems was developed. Due to the depth of the analysis in the Expert Report (as well as an active role in the negotiating process) the A/E was successful in negotiating a favorable settlement.

OIL STORAGE (160mbl)

This project was built to store crude oil in underground salt caverns. These Texas and Louisiana caverns offer security and are the most affordable means of storage, costing up to 10 times less than above-ground tanks and 20 times less than hard rock mines.  Our staff was responsible for managing the electrical and instrumentation installation for both the oil storage caverns and the intake structure.

DMCG’s senior staff has experience in design, construction, commissioning, and start-up.

Our understanding of the refinery and petrochemical design and construction process can help any client improve its project outcome.

We have project experience on over 5 projects, and forensic experience on more than 10 projects.
